The 1st Waikuku Kite Camp

Friday 5th & Saturday 6th May 2006
Landboarding NZ Ltd is please to be hosting the inaugural “Waikuku Kite Camp” for anyone interested in kite related sports. It doesn't matter if you are a landboarder, buggier or even a kitesurfer, everyone is invited to come along to this informal gathering at Waikuku, 30kms north of Christchurch. [Click Here for a Map]
This fun event will be held over Friday 5th & Saturday 6th May 2006. Turn up from 4:00pm on Friday for an evening session, (16:30 low tide), and then an all afternoon 6-hour session on Saturday, (from 14:00 thru 20:00).
This is a chance to hang with other landboarders & buggiers, maybe fly some other kites, demo a different board, or even pick up a tip or two from other riders.
There are cabins available for the Friday & Saturday Nights, and the cost will be only $12 per night for a bed/bunk, (bring your own bedding), or you can get a tent pitch if you are brave enough. Don't forget to bring the food, and we will supply the beer.
Contact us to book a spot in a cabin or for more information

Bring on the Surfari

New Zealand designed and manufactured, the Surfari is a unique inline mountain board that self balances and completely gets rid of any speed wobble. Much more closely related to surfing than skateboarding, steering the Surfari is done by leaning in the direction you wish to travel, and the board automatically does the rest. In fact the board become even more stable the faster you go, giving you the confidence to go hard, with a potential to easily reach 70-100kph...!!
We will have a Surfari on demo at the Waikuku Kite Camp in May, so if you are interested in trying out a new experience in landboarding, or just want to check out this wicked piece of Kiwi engineering, come on down. |
